Why does your battery say 100% when it isn't?

WhatBattery works from the battery's raw capacity figures, not the number System Settings rounds to, and shows it to one decimal place alongside cycle count and service condition.

System Settings presents a whole number, so anything from 99.5% up reads as 100%. Fine at a glance, useless for spotting a trend. WhatBattery works from the underlying mAh figures and keeps one decimal place.

It also shows cycle count, temperature, voltage, the current charge state, and the same Normal or Service Recommended condition macOS uses. Where macOS's own capacity percentage differs from the unrounded figure, both are shown rather than leaving you to wonder which is right.
