System Settings presents a whole number. That is useful at a glance, but it can hide the first signs of wear. WhatBattery works from the underlying mAh figures and keeps one decimal place.

The honest boundary
It tells you what the battery reports and what cannot be known.
There is no dependable public signal that proves a battery is genuine. WhatBattery does not add a green “genuine” badge to incomplete evidence. It shows the service condition, capacities, health, cycles, and identifiers the system can actually support.

WhatBattery observes. It never enforces a charge limit or writes to the battery.
