Terms for WhatBattery and WhatBattery Pro.
The free app is open source. A Pro purchase grants a personal licence to unlock the additional features.

About these terms
These terms apply to the WhatBattery website, distributed app, and WhatBattery Pro licence. WhatBattery is a Bitmoor product created by Darryl Morley. By purchasing or using Pro, you agree to these terms.
Free and open-source software
The public WhatBattery source and the portions distributed under the MIT Licence remain governed by that licence. The MIT Licence is included with the source repository.
WhatBattery Pro licence
A purchase grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable personal licence to activate WhatBattery Pro on up to two Macs. You may not sell, share publicly, or distribute the licence key. Replacing a Mac does not require a new purchase; contact support to free an activation slot when needed.
Price and payment
The displayed Pro price is a one-time payment. Payment is processed by Stripe. Any taxes or currency conversion applied by the payment provider will be shown during checkout where required.
Refunds
You may request a refund within 14 days of purchase. Use the contact route provided with the licence email or the support options in the GitHub repository. After a refund, the associated Pro licence may be deactivated.
Updates and compatibility
The licence covers use of the purchased WhatBattery Pro product and updates made available for it. It does not guarantee that every future Apple operating system or hardware model will remain compatible. WhatBattery currently requires an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later.
Read-only purpose
WhatBattery is an informational utility. It does not control charging, repair a battery, or replace advice from Apple or an authorised service provider. Battery readings and forecasts are estimates based on values reported by the devices and may change as a battery recalibrates or an operating system changes.
Availability
The app and services are provided on an “as available” basis. Reasonable care is taken to keep them accurate and operational, but uninterrupted availability and error-free readings cannot be guaranteed.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhatBattery and its creator are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the app, reliance on a battery estimate, or service interruption. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes and contact
These terms may be updated when the product or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. For support or licence questions, use the WhatBattery GitHub repository.
